7Running Header: ADRP ProspectusPopulation and SampleFemale executives will be the target population selected for this research study. Female executives will be defined as individuals with titles such as CEO, Partner, President, Vice President, and Manager. The sample will also be comprised by female executives who have participated in an executive coaching session. The sampling methodology used will be convenience sampling method, in which participants were selected because of their immediate availability and willingness to participate (Creswell,2009). Several small to large sized corporations in the Dalton, Georgia area will be asked to participate. Included among the targeted corporations are Shaw Industries, Mohawk Industries, and Syntec Industries.These organizations were targeted because they are large corporations and are known to have executive coaching programs in place. A further reason for targeting these corporations is that their corporate headquarters is located within the same geographic area that the researcher lives in and there will be no need for out of state travel to conduct the research. How the Data Will be CollectedAn Executive Coaching Effectiveness Survey intends to be created by the researcher as a tool to collect the data required for this study. This researcher intends to group the items in this survey into subsections that will provide the data to answer the research questions. The subsections intend to be labeled as Organizational Performance (OP), Job Behavior (JB), Impact, Business Impact (BI), and Learnings (LRN). These items intend to measure the impact of executive coaching on organizational performance, the outcomes of executive coaching on the job behavior of female executives, the business areas impacted because of executive coaching, identifying the new knowledge, skills or increased abilitieslearned because of participation in an executive coaching program, and measuring how participation in these executive coaching programs resulted in promotion opportunities. The Executive Coaching Effectiveness Survey will be administered via an online host site, SurveyMonkey.com. Respondents will be able to conveniently access the survey 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, which will ensure on-demand access to the survey by participants.
8Running Header: ADRP ProspectusLimitations of the StudyA limitation of this research study will be that the researcher intends to only include female executives who have participated in executive coaching programs. Therefore, the results of this research study cannot be generalized to all individuals who have participated in executive coaching sessions; male executives who have participated in executive coaching sessions will be excluded from the study. Also, the research in this essay intends to rely on the self-perceptions of female executives who participated in executive coaching programs.
