receive four to five sets of homework per week, taking them between seventy-five and 150 minutes per set to complete. As children progress through school, homework and the amount of time engaged in homework increases in importance.” (Morgan, 2013). Should there be an increase in the length of the school day and/or the number of days spent in school? Why or why not? I do not think there should be an increase in the length of school day or the number of days spent in school. I don’t think that should happen because there is so much more to life than school. Yes, school is a huge part of life and getting an education is very important but there are a lot of different lessons that happen outside of school in everyday life. I think sports is an important part of a child’s life if they choose that is what they want to do. Being able to spend time with family is also very important as well. Children already complain about school I think that if it was extended then they would only dread it more.
