regulations that must be followed that have been put in place by HIPPA and these help people do the right thing and make the right choices. There are solutions to problems to help doctors deal with issues and there are times when an issue cannot be solved. Today, there will always be an issue with patient privacy and with technology nothing is safe. There are some situations that call for an exception to HIPPA and those are when you are doctor and need you are providing care to a patient and a need to know situation arrives. In this case the doctor will be able to get information on his patient from another doctor. However, the release of minimal amount of information will be necessary. When it comes to consent a patient has to consent to treatment and this means they will need to know the care they are going to get and what alternatives there are if any. They will also need to know what the risks and benefits are of each to make an educated decision the best they can. There is also an implied consent where they cannot consent but under normal circumstances they would. Also, a minor can consent without their parents if they are being treated for an infectious disease. The HIPAA, like many other laws, is still going through revisions. I think that it is very important especially in the time we live in today. When it was first introduced in 1996 the world was different and the HIPAA has continued to grow and help protect our records and make sure we get fair health care coverage we deserve. The topics I covered in my essay was the most important parts of HIPPA that I discovered and during my research we learned about Title one, Title two, and some ethical issues. As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
