• “The people at Arent Fox are all great to work with. As a 4th year associate, I get a great variety of challenging work. Although we’ve been really busy, the firm doesn’t emphasize face-time at the firm. I’m able to leave the office every day around 6:30 and have dinner with my family, walk the dog, etc., and then I can get back to work if I need to.” • “I love my job. The cases are staffed leanly and partners give associates tremendous opportunities and responsibilities.” Firm Culture • “Everyone at the firm is great to work with. The firm has frequently has social events—monthly happy hours, several lunches a month based on practice groups and teams, associate events, and retreats.” • “The firm hosts a variety of CLE and client development lunch and learn events, allowing us to meet folks from across practice groups who we otherwise would not interact with in our day-to-day work. During the summer associate program, the firm hosts events almost daily. The teams on my individual matters also organize happy hours.” • “Most people here maintain a good work life balance. The office is empty by 7pm.” • “Arent Fox is very good at trying to foster a community among its associates. The firm hosts semimonthly happy hours, as well as regularly scheduled breakfasts for associates on Fridays. The firm also sponsors associate retreats, and recently formed a new committee to focus on associate professional/ business development, mentoring, and diversity.” Associate/Partner Relations • “Associate/partner relations are very good, although the transparency about firm finances could be a little better.” • “Associate/partner relations are really great. Feedback can be hard to come by, but if you take initiative and arrange a time to discuss performance, partners are generally receptive. Transparency is so-so, as they’ve recently made changes to compensation without reasons for those changes that have not been well received. The firm declined to increase associate pay to the Cravath scale while simultaneously eliminating merit bonuses through the fourth year, which was the only chance of a salary raise outside of performance bonuses.” • “The firm does a wonderful job of providing informal and formal mentoring. Each associate is paired with an ‘associate mentor’ as well as a ‘partner mentor’. The firm also pays for associates to take a partner to lunch every few months.” • “The firm continuously sends e-mails regarding updates to firm policies. The partners treat associates well.”

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
