were checked, and tested in a disturbing way, as if they were a science experiment. kids had to stand up on stage completely naked in front of doctors. And only to and find out that they will have health problems for the rest of their lives because of radiation poisoning. All of the survivors that are still alive most remember the bombing very clearly, having those horrible memories till this day most be devastating, as well as going through health problems, and going almost every week or month for a checkup doesn’t feel pleasant. it’s sad to think that those strong survivors couldn't enjoy their lives because of the effect the bomb had in their health. Overall, it is clear that dropping the bomb was not justify, for various reasons. First of all there was no need for the U.S to bomb, and invade Japan. Even Eisenhower said in the article The Atom bomb “it wasn’t necessary to hit them with that awful thing”. Japan was already defeated there was no need to drop the bomb. It only ruined innocent people’s lives, it ruined kids childhoods, and survivors are still going through hard times because of the effects of the bombs. After reading articles, handouts, and when I was watching 24 hours After Hiroshima everything that was said, and shown made me feel really sad for those innocent children, adults, and survivors who didn’t deserve to suffer the way they did. It’s just terrible how their life’s got ruined in just a second.
