LAW ENFORCEMENT 6 Recommendations Several measures can be put into place to help fight corruption in the society and the police who play a key role in enforcing the law. Reccommendably, rogue officers should be investigated if charged with corruption and disciplinary measures taken if found guilty. Proper training of officers on corruption should be done .Clear strategies and policies should be implemented with the help of the government and private sectors. The society should strengthen a culture of transparency and report any cases of misconduct among police officers. They should not give an opportunity to corruption and lastly, the police and the society should promote anti- corruption campaigns through a culture of integrity against corruption in the public service. Conclusion Clearly, corruption is vice that has slowly taken root in public institutions today. In the police department, it has led to increase in crimes. However, the fight against corruption is dependent on ethics. How individuals govern their decision and activities with respect to the rule of law. Obeying code of conduct which is ethical among senior and junior officers would help create a conducive working environment for the police, promote good relationship between citizens and the police and maintain a credible and effective police force. The above suggestions can work hand in hand with the recommendations stated above.
