This case puts TI in a difficult position because it makes the company look like a hypocrite. According to their website, “TI provides equivalent environmental, health and safety protection to our workers and the communities in which we operate around the world, embraces responsibility for the outcomes of our operations and is accountable for appropriate responses.” In addition, the company claims they’ve set up a formal process to assure that the “environmental, health, and safety” standards and elements are upheld. “These core elements include a review of regulatory changes and interpretations that are incorporated into our worldwide standards and audit programs, site programs and training.” However, with this case in mind, it seems that TI has failed to adhere to one of its core business practices. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
