It can be seen here that noise distraction can be an issue affecting employee productivity but employee job title must be taken into account, as many of the respondents come in touch with noisy situations. 4.1.5 Employee Performance Feedback Employees to be given feedback and recognised for their performance was considered an important factor in this research as well. The following was the response. It can be seen that 60% of the people who answered definitely agree that they receive feedback for their performance. Coming into contrast following answers, with a 17% answer rate on workers not receiving feedback and another 17% saying they do receive feedback from their supervisor. 6% of the respondents said they do not receive feedback from their supervisor. This aspect is important because feedback contributes to performance, consisting of both, positive and negative aspects. This means the employee will know what they are doing right and what aspects of their work require improvement. 32

4.1.6 Communication of Organisations Goals The answers here described the importance of communication of the businesses goals and strategies to the employees. It is depicted that 60% of the people said they agree on the supervisors communicating the goals to them. Conclusively 34% of the workers said they either disagree on receiving communication or rather strongly agree. The remaining 6% have said that they do not receive communication regarding the organisations goals and strategies. This communication helps the employees as a union achieve the mission and vision what the organisations has set to realise. 4.1.7 Job Aid The following response explained the presence of job aid in the organisations, contributing to employees contentment at work. It can be seen that the highest ranking answer is with a 78% answer rate, meaning 14 people strongly agree that the presence of job aid in the business contributes to their job performance. 22% of the people have said in contrast that they either agree with the presence of job aid, or disagree with it. The presence of job aid in the business supports employees to perform better and plan for further development, lessening their work load and decreasing misunderstandings. 4.1.8 Employee Recognition Employee recognition as an individual was considered as a relevant factor in employee productivity. In the table it can be seen that 39% of the worker said that they agree with being recognised as an individual by the organisation. This is followed by 33% of the people disagreeing, meaning they have felt as not being recognised by the business. Another 22% said they have definitely recognised, whereas 6% of the people said that they disagree and have not ever been recognised as individuals. The result of not being recognised by the organisations could have negative impact on peoples performance due to not having a common relation between them and the business, which in turn can be 33

taken as demoralising and not having the chance to express their opinions in the company’s matters.
