Through the information security manager, the department puts up security architecture of the company on proposed designs, analyzes any vulnerabilities and proposes the best remedies. It also ensures creation of a closed information loop between all departments is created (communication). The internet serves as the fastest and a cheap means of communication between the employer, employees, suppliers and customers hence the need to set up the needed infrastructure and ensure its secure for confidentiality. The department also manages inventories to maintain enough stock to meet the demands. The system can track the quantity of items maintained by a company and trigger additional of stocks following sales. It is connected to the Point-of Sale (POS) systems to ensure that sold items are removed from the inventory count and to create closed information loop between various departments. This data is used to effectively track profitability, maximize returns and identify areas that need improvements. TECHNOLOGY 4 the Strategic Group Analysis (SGA).According to Pickton and Wright (1998), SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis gives some of the greatest insights to the department since it exists and operates within a complex environment. Understanding this environment is crucial in fitting particular situations, objectives, capabilities and decision making. Strengths address the ability to remain innovative and produce quality products such as soft wares, video games, play stations etc., ability to market products and to monitor new technologies. Some the weaknesses are marketing of very expensive products, inadequate personnel in the highly demanding department and missing on the market gap with technology companies such as apple. The opportunities include selling of complementary products and internet services in U.S and Japan, having innovative designs and creation of user friendly applications. Threats are seen in new entrants and emerging of new markets and uncertainties.
