Depersonalization Jack is showing signs of Depersonalization as he has experiences of unreality, detachment and being an outside observer with respect to his thoughts and behavior. This can be termed as a psychological disorder as it occurs a lot and it can be termed as maladaptive behavior. Because Amy feels "dirty" a lot of the time, she spends much of her day at the sink, washing and rewashing her hands hundreds of times until they are red and raw.
