cargills and to manage everything during the work, so it is possible to prevent cargills employees from being under or overused. Definition of resource allocation Definition of "resource allocation" from the Cambridge Business English Dictionary is "the process of distributing money, skills, etc. between departments of an organization" Common challenges for resource allocation Resource management is susceptible to various challenges, so we must be aware of the correct allocation of resources and manage them throughout the project. Customer changes We may have already experienced how changes in the scope, timeline or budget can influence project delivery. With resource allocation, it is actually the same: an up-to-date source calendar helps us to adjust resources smoothly as soon as the changes appear. Availability of resources If we want to increase market share in the retail market, we can ideally use the resources that we need available at Cargills. We must negotiate the same sources with a different project manager. We must constantly monitor it to identify threats to the delivery of cargills projects. Project dependencies Allocate resources that we need to include project dependencies that are a form of relationship between the tasks or activities in the project. But even if we manage to negotiate resources that we both need, there may be a change in the priorities for one of the projects. 16 | P a g e
