In Texas there was 28,127 black Medicare enrollees and 222,777 non-black enrollees based off a population of 27.9 Million in 2014. According to America’s Health Rankings In Texas 11.2% of adults are females with diabetes and 10.5% in the United States. 11.2% are male in Texas, and 11.1%in the United States. 25.7% are 65 and older have diabetes in Texas and 23.2% in the United States. 14.8% are Black in Texas, and 14.2% are black in the united states. 12% are Hispanic in Texas and 10.6% are Hispanic in the United States. 10.1% are white in Texas and 10.3% are White in the United States. Diabetes is associated with obesity the obesity rate in college station according to Data USA is 28.4%.
