Social media and networking has also caused a major distraction in schools. Smartphones and iphones have made it very convenient for students to look at their statuses and homepages almost religiously. While in class, students are on their laptops, iphones and spend the majority of their time checking their chat walls and only half listening to their teachers lecture or what is going on in class. The minimum amount of attention that students are giving their teachers is not even slightly close enough for getting good grades or test scores. In conclusion, social media, web sharing, and similar trends on the internet affect social and personal behaviors.
