victims, and provisions forced on the prosecution of human traffickers. “Even if adopting a narrow interpretation means that some human traffickers will face lower maximum sentences, failing to do so would be a step backward” (Reese, 2015, p. 308). Courts would provide clear information regarding what conduct is prohibited, what elements must be satisfied, and what punishments courts are likely to impose. According to International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) 1.2 million trading of children generated $10 billion (Majeed & Malik, 2017, p. 453). Economic globalization facilitates the trade of human through trade routes and counties boarders. The conflict perspective is based on the idea that society consists of different groups who struggle with one another to attain the scarce societal resources that are considered valuable, be they money, power, prestige, or the authority to impose one’s values on society” (Sullivan, 2015, p. 9). When people violate the values and norms of the leading or powerful, the reaction against the deviant can be strong. Human trafficking is a profitable illegal business making billions of dollars for violating a person’s human rights. Many people see human trafficking as a social problem because of their thought of right and wrong. Making money off a helpless person in a negative way is wrong in society. To achieve this vision toward human trafficking knowledge is needed. Many people do not see the harm in human trafficking if they are not physically participating.
