development for students with diverse backgrounds, characteristics, and needs." From that point, I summarized what I thought this standard was saying. I summarized it as, "students are diverse and we need to develop these students with diversity." This standard from the Indiana Department of Education also to the InTasc Standards in the sense that many of the InTasc Standards relate and have the qualities of the DOE Standards. Therefore, I related my summarization to the InTasc Standards of #1 – Learner Development, which talks about understanding different ways in which learners develop and learn, #2 – Learning Differences, which talks about the differences in learners and how their diverse cultures shape and affect them, and #3 – Learning Environments, which talks about the different types of environments that need to be created in order for all students to learn. Therefore, being able to teach diverse learners in diverse ways. From both the DOE Standards and the InTasc Standards, there come teacher behaviors that correspond with both of the types of standards. Therefore, I thought of behaviors that would incorporate the qualities of both standards. These behaviors were for the teacher to be promoting (of the students), caring, understanding, cultural, diverse, creative, and diverse. The DOE Standards, the InTasc Standards, and teacher behaviors all correlate with one another, because they all speak of how the teacher should act, learn, and teach with the students in their classroom.
