From the research done on the wolf packs biologists

This preview shows page 3 - 4 out of 4 pages.

From the research done on the wolf packs, biologists have found that it is very hard to predict a packs kill rate per month. The wolves showed a distinct seasonal variation on kill rate due to the type of prey available which correlates to vulnerability of the prey, but there was no way to predict if or when the wolves will kill (Metz, et al. 2016). The data found from the nutritional content of the prey was added into the equation so the kill rate was compared to the nutritional intake to give a better understanding on why the wolves were so successful in certain seasons. The link between predator and prey has always looked at but not in depth. The seasonal interaction has never really been fully understood until now. The results found can be applied in other predator prey relationships around the world, some variations may apply. This can apply to the food chain in a certain ecosystem to help see what is most productive, when, and why.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
