2. The client should develop a system that is scalable for future upgrades. As stated in the City of Edinburgh Council ICT and Digital Strategy report pg. 10 “Technology should be scalable in order to provide the ability to respond to user needs. For example, increase in user numbers or requirement to handle more data.” F2. Scalability conforms to the core aspect of ITIL OF Continual Service Improvement (CSI) where the system is to accommodate future upgrades and improvements without the need to out phase the whole system (Priyadharshini, 2018). 3. The client should develop a secure system that offers data privacy. The strategy was proposed by the ICT planning community stating for the need of a system that offers data protection on all computing devices. The required functionality is to have a system that maintains confidentiality and integrity on data. F3. The requirement conforms to ITIL core component of IT security management where it is required that all technological devices maintain a level of confidentiality, integrity, availability, and authenticity. 3

4. The system must offer cloud computing. The proposal was to have cloud computing which is the current trend in the computing world to promote reusability and reduce the costs of purchasing more expensive machines. Pg. 23 F4. The requirement partially conforms to ITIL. The framework doesn’t offer the capability for cloud computing. However, it offers the aspect of scalability which means that previous systems should be able to accommodate the new technology (Priyadharshini, 2018). The issue however is that this is a relatively new system which means that new systems have to be procured to replace the older ones. 5. The system should have a solid business continuity plan The agreement is to have a business continuity plan that allows for service improvement and innovation. Pg. 24 F5. The strategy partially conforms conform to the ITIL framework. The proposed system continuity plan focusses on improving on service delivery by continuously assessing the system to check for area to improve. The continuity plan also factors in innovation to improve on system. ITIL on the other hand focusses on system evaluation and improvement only (Priyadharshini, 2018). 6. The system should be cost effective. The strategy is to have a system that is cost effective while offering value for money.
