2. Revision: It does not matter if you are a local bakery or a large metropolitan consulting firm; An employee who is engaged will provide the best work they can offer. Who would want to buy a piece of bread that looks un-shapely or is burnt? Or rather, who would pay for business consultation that does not help them grow? Maximum employee engagement is a very sought after venture for any business. But what happens when your employees are not performing to a level at which you expect? This is where motivation comes into play. There are motivators that allow employees to work at a higher level, which encourage more engagement in the work place as long as basic requirements are met. These requirements include livable wages. For people working minimum wage jobs, the concepts of engagement and meaningful work do not exist because they are too busy struggling to make ends meet and have very little opportunity to grow. This leads to a very unfulfilling lifestyle where workers are not motivated to be engaged in the workplace, but rather work because they have to pay bills.
