Regardless of the roles I am given, my ultimate role as a BCBA in any setting is to uphold the standards set forth, provide exceptional services to clients, and uphold their dignity to the highest regard. Action Plan 4 an IEP team for students or clients. As we’ve learned about in this course, an IEP is an Individualized Education Program for students in the school setting who have been assessed and determined to have needs above and beyond the typical needs of students. This document includes things such as: information about the child, their level of functioning, goals, services currently provided, modifications, and how the child’s progress will be monitored. Depending on my role in the IEP meeting I might approach things differently. Most likely I will be a part of the IEP as the BCBA and take on the role of assisting the parent to make sure they are getting the help for their child that is necessary for them to learn in the least restrictive environment.
