There are factors to consider when determining the best-suited cloud provider such as price, technical support, reliability, performance and integration with the corporation’s existing network. The following cloud providers are amongst the top and most used by companies: Amazon Web Service (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - Amazon AWS was launched in 2006 and currently provides 70 services with a large variety of coverages in 16 regions and 40 separate zones. Its main advantage is that it is capable to support large enterprise networks and organizations, which offer a 12-month free membership including 750 hours per month. It is a multi-platform compatible, provides block storage, ability to upload customized files and support NoSQL. Its security is broken into 5 layers: data, application, host, network and physical, which protects user data by encryption. A great feature of AWS is that it provides step by step guidelines for almost everything which is very helpful. One drawback is that it charges a fee for some technical support.

Week 2 Assignment Template - Microsoft Azure was launched in 2010 and is the second largest cloud provider. It provides 67 services with 30 servers in different regions. It can be integrated with Microsoft tools and software which supports private, public and hybrid cloud computing. Like AWS, Microsoft offers a free 12-month membership with 750 hours and 64 GB of storage. However, it lacks Hyper-V snapshot support which disable the ability to upload custom images and no integrated backups. - Google Cloud Platform was launched in 2011 which currently services 15 data centers worldwide that service 46 zones. It was designed to satisfy IT solutions for Google Search and YouTube. Just like the other cloud providers, GCP offers a free 12- month membership. It is committed mainly towards open source and businesses which provide a high-level of security and offer live migration of Virtual Machines. The main drawback is that it offers less features compared to the other two providers, the server coverage is not the best outside of the USA and the pace of improvement is much slower compared to AWS. Although AWS cost the most, I recommend between the other two because it offers the most features and step by step tutorials for almost everything. AWS pace for improvement is much faster than the other two which becomes the standard for the rest to follow. In other words, AWS is the trendsetter and the others are just trying to keep up. Top-notch security, speed and reliability is what CTO needs and the best provider is AWS. 6. The CTO appreciated the analysis performed between the cloud service providers (Amazon, Google, and Microsoft). She has decided to proceed with an Amazon Virtual Private Cloud . Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC) enables you to launch AWS resources into a virtual network that you've defined. This virtual network closely
