The main purpose of this amendment is to prevent the use of federal money to those that support sex discrimination in education programs. This amendment also offers protection against sex discrimination against citizens that are linked to education programs and other educational activities. That way all schools, colleges, and universities have to make sure every single student has equal access to education. There is a complex relationship between the ERA and Title IX. If the ERA were ratified, then it would not defend and protect women against discrimination at private institutions such as some colleges and universities, because it would be limited to the state. Moreover, Title IX requires all the schools to act and solve suitably all the reports of sexual harassment and sexual violence against their students. This action will avoid the deprivation of equal and free education of the individual.

Sautie 3 I believe it took so long for the country to acknowledge and protect the rights of the disabled because the exclusion and segregation of the disability’s individuals were not seeing as a discrimination act. Instead, the country assumed that the problems faced by people with disabilities were just a natural consequence of their condition and limitations. They never realized that this also was a discrimination act.
