Threats.1.Increase in cost of electronic components.
GoPro buys electronic component that it uses to make its products. The rise in the cost of these components has posed an alarming threat as production costs are made to go high.2.Low entry barriers for indirect competitors.Indirect competitors such as Samsung have the technology and awareness with them and GoPro would have hard time beating them invading its market share.3.CounterfeitMany companies are trying to make fake GoPro products, posing a direct threat to the company.4.Existence of mature marketsMature markets are competitive. In order for GoProto grow in a mature market, it has to increase market share, which is difficult and expensive.SWOT conclusionStrengths + opportunities = 7+5 = 12Weaknesses + threats = 3+4 = 7GoPro needs to fix its weaknesses and build strong defensive mechanisms against what the threats pose.
