This result supported by Namuddu (2010) that there was almost an equal representation of both the male and female since the margin between the two sexes (almost 10.1%) is minimal. Views and inferences, therefore shown that both the male and female teachers performed well. In terms of the age of the TLE teachers, all of them were found to have a “very satisfactory” performance as shown by the mean that ranged from 3.99 to 4.29 described as “very satisfactory” in the scale. As presented in the table, teachers whose age range from 20 – 30 showed the highest mean of 4.29. this was followed by the other categories of age with mean 4.21 (51 and above); 4.13 (41-50) and 3.99(31- 40) respectively. Considering the educational qualification of the TLE teachers, results revealed that teachers who are doctoral degree holder had outstanding performance as compared to teachers who are bachelor and master degree holder. It is notable from the results that teachers who are doctoral degree holder had the highest mean of 4.71. The lowest mean Table 5. Level of Performance of TLE teachers.

57 of 4.07 verbally interpreted as “very satisfactory” was achieved by the teachers who are bachelor graduate. Furthermore, considering the number of years in teaching of the TLE teachers, the same table shown that all of them whose tenure ranged from 5 and below to 31 and above year of teaching experience were in the “very satisfactory” level of performance with mean ranged from 4.38 to 3,90 this implies that the young ones and old ones teachers have the same level of performance. This result is somehow different from Namaddu (2010) Most respondents/teachers at Aga Khan Schools that have less than 5years experience have low level performance and therefore the appraisal system is still new to them As to their year level taught all of them have “very satisfactory” level of performance as shown by their computed mean of 4.21, 4.16, 4.03 and 3.99 respectively. Considering their major field, almost were on the “very satisfactory” level of performance with mean from 4.0 to 4.28. Differences on the Level of Competence of TLE Teachers in terms of sex As reflected in Table 6, results revealed TLE that no significant differences existed in the level of competence
