Our group kept the same claim and became more confident in our answer. This was because majority of other classmates came up with very similar results so because of the repetition of the same answer for experiments that were similar we kept our claim the same. c. If you were to redesign this experiment, how would you go about doing so? (2) If we were to redesign the experiment, I would say that we would use more beakers and add some beakers that are covered to see the variety of effects that each one would have on the rate of photosynthesis. 12. What other environmental variables/factors besides light might affect the rate of photosynthesis? Why do you think they would affect it? Discuss at least 2. (2 points) I think that carbon dioxide and temperature would also affect the rate of photosynthesis. I think this because in order for photosynthesis to happen a plant needs carbon dioxide and if the plant is not getting enough then its rate of photosynthesis would be lower because its not getting enough of what it needs. Also, in general when the temperature decreases plants and flowers generally begin to fade away, because of this factor this also shows that the rate of photosynthesis could be affected.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
