Loyalty unlike faithfulness is based on the principle of supporting and defending what you believe in despite the challenges involved. One day, on a trip to the city, Frida is involved in a horrible accident that badly maims her body, fracturing multiple bones and piercing through her stomach and uterus (Art Letters Par. 2). She recounts how she was always in excruciating constant pain and enduring surgery after surgery for her to get well. In the midst of all this pain, she was able to engage in what she loved most, painting. Her favorite paintings are paintings of women with strange mutilating piercings and bloody hearts. It is through the painting that Frida is recognized as the face of feminism for demonstrating passion, self –expression and liberty. Her independent ideals transformed her into a feminist icon in the post-revolutionary era that destroyed gender roles simply because she embodied both male and female genders (Pankl and Kevin Blake 5). She portrays the way a person should love, empower and being loyal rather that conforming to sexism ideals like that of her partner.

Last Name 3 Faithfulness is based on unconditional love to someone, which is often not there in loyalty. This kind of unconditional love surpasses that of friendship and can only be found mostly in relations between a husband and wife.
