DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES Precast concrete products are considered an ancient art. However the products stood the test of time and are still being used in modern construction. We intend to produce the following concrete products; 1. Building bricks, 2. Interlocking bricks, 3. Paving slaps, 4. Precast pillars, 5. Blustered, 6. Kerb stones, 7. Lintels and, 8. Concrete Air bricks. In bricks moulding we intend to use different types of materials to mark bricks such as mud to make clay brick (face bricks) , fly ash for paving interlocking bricks, slate, calcium silicate, shale and concrete. However our industry will specialised on bricks made from river sand as is easily accessible. We shall liaise with Department of Environmental Affairs and Department of Mines to acquire licenses for river sand mining. On face bricks we will use clay soil to manufacture different bricks. The face bricks will differ based on how they are heated to reach the required strength and colour. That is how we will fire the brick and to what degree they are fired would determine then colour and strength. At Initial stage of the business we will use traditional kilns and as the industry grows we shall use modern kilns to do the firing work. Phitshane Molopo is a Sub District of Rolong Land is situated in the heart of many small growing villages therefore a lot of people from that region have acquired plots and some are buying in the region and by so there is a high demand of Concrete Bricks in that region however to meet this demand we will employ modern technology (Brick moulding machines) to produce them in mass quantity in less time. The modern technology has advantage to traditional one which is labour intensive work, the technology has reduced back injuries in brick manufacturing industry as works do not band over frequently as compared to traditional method. The industry will still be labour intensive as more workers are required to T.S MORUTWA (2015) Page 6

move wet bricks to drying platform, Pack bricks, Gauge the mixture for moulding precast concrete products. EXECUTION OF THE PROJECT (HOW) SKILLS AVAILABLE /OUT SOURCED Mr Tiso Leipego is youth who did not do well in his form five in 2014, and am recently retaking four (4) subjects so that i could upgrade my grades and further my education and my educational background and experience is as follows. 2012-2014: BGCSE-Third Class (34) points 2015: Retaking subject and pursuing a driver’s license. I intend to outsource the needed skills for the project while learning as the project is going on, where by will take over when I have learned about the business . PLOT SIZE JUSTIFICATION It is important that there is enough land for Precast Concrete products production, as the size of the land will determine the number of bricks produced per day. The site also has to have enough water supply because precast concrete products moulding requires a lot of water, and there also has to be access to electricity for machine operation. In selecting a site, we considered the location, access and size.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
