Grading: A pass grade in this course is 60% or higher: A 93-100% B 83-86.9% C 73-76.9% D 63-66.9% A- 90-92.9% B- 80-82.9% C- 70-72.9% D- 60-62.9% B+ 87-89.9% C+ 77-79.9% D+ 67-69.9% F below 59.9% Students with questions about a graded assignment should email the Teaching Assistant within a week after the assignment grade is posted or returned. You will be evaluated according to the following points: ASSIGNMENT TOTAL POINTS AVAILABLE Attendance (10 points per class attended) 80 Completion of Confidence Quiz (x 2) 20 (10 points each) Weekly in-class quiz (10 points per quiz) 70 Check-In w/ Instructor by February 9 (if A), or April 6 (if B) 30 Resume Submission 50 Resume Sign-off 40 Career Management Presentation (CMP) (presented outside of class) 60 LinkedIn Profile 40 Informational Interview 40 Final Exam held during final class 70 Total Points 500 Homework Assignments: Submit all assignments on Blackboard BEFORE class on the date indicated in the syllabus unless stated otherwise. Late assignments will be automatically penalized if arrangements are not made in advance for late turn-in or without a valid excused absence. Assignments handed in late without a valid excuse will be penalized 20% for each day it is late including weekend days. Late Assignments – As mentioned, these will be accepted, but will be penalized 20% for each day it is late including weekend days. If you think you have a legitimate reason to receive an exception on a due date, please email your teaching assistant professor as soon as possible before the due date . Furthermore, if you know ahead of time that you will miss a class, you need to ensure you submit your assignments on Blackboard by the start of class time! Plagiarism - Written assignments and quizzes must be your original work. In compliance with the Ohio University Student Handbook, those found guilty of committing acts of academic dishonesty shall receive an F in the course with possible suspension from the university.
