collected contained effects caused by decline of renal functioning and the causes that is reliable for practitioners to use. Data regarding the decline of renal function can be generalized because the three cases represent a study population Sometimes the secondary data is tough or the data is unobtainable. It was of importance in understandin g the topic of interest We can make conclusions of the entire population from the 3 cases we studied The methods that were used to collect the data gave first- hand information from the three cases. Information given out can be assumed and hence its critical for the findings The case studies provided efficient data that is relevant to the topic of interest Concepts used went hand in hand with methods used in this research Understood more related to the disease from dealing with the victims Time consuming in conducting the personal interviews and research Receiving data from the victims gave first-hand information regarding the disease Findings from the three cases gave data on the disease from the victims which was compared
Step 2: Summary of Analysis Craft a summary (2-3 paragraph) below that includes the following: Describe your approach to identifying and analyzing peer-reviewed research Identify at least two strategies that you would use that you found to be effective in finding peer-reviewed research Identify at least one resource you intend to use in the future to find peer-reviewed research The article basics include studies that have been done and divided into three parts. The article as a background, discussion and conclusion, and the last part are the case presentations. The article has been retrieved from BMC Nephrology journal which is a peer-reviewed resource. The approach used was to limit the database to peer-reviewed sources. Some databases allow limiting the search to peer-reviewed journals in which only peer-reviewed journals will appear during the search. However, some databases do not allow restraint, in this case, analysis of the source is done to determine whether the source is a peer-reviewed journal. It is possible through checking through Ulrichsweb.com. The last method used was analyzing if the document is peer-reviewed by going over numerous stages. One of the strategies in finding effective peer-reviewed sources is using the library database during research. Libraries contain peer-reviewed articles that are of high quality and hence effective. The other strategy is finding databases that are related to the research. There are databases that contain peer-reviewed journals on various topics. An example includes medicine databases, Science databases, and technology databases.
One of the resources that are useful in finding peer-reviewed articles is a multidisciplinary database called ProQuest. The database provides high-quality articles and is often used for academic research to provide qualitative and quantitative research Week 5 | Part 5: Professional Development
