There are however various holes that can be seen to skew the argument that the author claims. The first hole in the argument is seen in terms of offering supporting evidence. The Author only provides one scene to explain the relationship between the integration of the fascinating and the ordinary world. Another hole in the argument that is detectable is in terms of absurdity and how it exaggerates the Martians, (Wells, par. 3). The Martians machines are given qualities of humans or rather are compares to human when they are merely machines. In one way or the other, the author creates a form of ambiguity that the audience might find hard to relate to because the scene excerpt that is explained in the essay article is not complete therefore being hard to connect the pieces and understand. The sub claims that are set to support the main claim can be justified. The sub claims that the author makes relate to the emotions experienced by the audience in description of the war. The author explains that grounding the scene in real space and evoking the emotions of the audience through vivid descriptions helps to achieve the desired effect of understanding the dualities and absurdity in the narrations as well as the real world aspects on the nature of war.
