information available at one’s fingertips. Many perceive this access to information as a method of eliminating ignorance and spreading knowledge. This has not been the case in the U.S. as many people fail to take advantage of this access to information and remain comfortably cloaked in their ignorance. One area that Americans remain quite ignorant is in regard to other cultures. In our ignorance Americans often identify any Spanish speakers as Mexicans, people with slanted eyes as Chinese and Middle Eastern-looking people as possible terrorists.
