There are some key aspects that differentiate the airline from others. One, the airline has a reputation for providing high-security standards, handling baggage in the best way possible, ensuring that all flights are always on time and the lowest number of complaints from customers. The best a competitor could wish for to arrive at this performance level is cutting out employee benefits to suit the fares offered by Southwest airlines. Still, that would not meet and compare the efficiency with which Southwest airline employees work daily. The truth is, southwest employees have a sense of job security, and job satisfaction that no other company offers or comes close to offering (Mohamed, 2013). They encourage employees to communicate, innovate, and generally, be themselves. The company stresses on three Ps, personal, people and personalities. Instead of a human resources department, the airline has a leadership and people department. Teamwork in the Organization Southwest airline supports employee participation and teamwork in many ways. Motivated people are always excited at what they do because they have a positive outlook. With motivation people treat an organization like their own, and they will do all it takes to ensure that their time spent doing important activities in an organization. Motivated individuals tend to enjoy their jobs and lead to excellent performance. This paper analyses how motivation encourages team success. Once the organization has grown, there is always a need for allowing the new leaders to step up and take the role of the old leaders. Southwest employees are moved from being offered a chance to make decisions regardless of whether they are right or wrong. Training the employees in the ways of making proper decisions empowers them to step up when they are needed. Motivation encourages personal growth among the employees because they feel encouraged regarding personal growth while mentoring their team. Also, Southwest airline employees are subjected to such issues as encouraging them to attend networking events concerning business issues. The team should always be held accountable to make them feel as if they are personally engaged in the organization's success. Southwest airlines always ensure that all employees feel like part of organizational success (PR Newswire, 2016). A motivated team sees what needs to be done and work towards accomplishing the specific goals that are set by the company. That means that the employees can make it regardless of how big the obstacle may seem.
