of terrorism will be controlled, failing to enhance structural effectiveness means the systems will be compromised. Even if the technology is 100-percent efficient in improving public safety, its focus on individuals ends, causing more harm. Conclusion I would be unwilling to subordinate my rights for the public good. The responsibility to promote public safety fall on the policymakers and individuals should not be a target for sacrifice. Any person's responsibility to promote public safety is to the extent that their rights are protected. Technology such as the airport scanners exposing the whole body is a violation of human rights to privacy and should be discouraged. Although it promotes protecting the public against physical harm, it leads to psychological harm to the general population. Also, without structural efficiency, the technology is manipulated, and its desired good may never be realized. It is thus not worth the sacrifice of human privacy.
