Joint Venture Entry Wal-Mart formed an equal partnership with Bharti Enterprises to enter the Indian market. This was unlike its other entries where it acquires other organizations. The move was a prudent one since it would help avoid the restrictions put in place by the Indian government. The government insists on the protection of producers and the economy to ensure that it runs to benefit the consumers. With the organization being American, a partnership with Bharti would help in avoiding restrictions.

BUSINESS 3 Five Forces Model Industry Competitors Competition occurs naturally when organizations are fighting to have control in the same market (MindTools, n.d.). The Indian market is not dominated by the by many electronic commerce stores. It most prominent one is mom-and-pop store who use the cash and carry model instead of retail. Wal-Mart would counter it by exploiting their exceptional logistic of retail to win the customers. Substitute Products Substitute products are most likely to arise due to increase in industry competition (MindTools, n.d.). Such products reduce the added importance of a product due to the increase in availability. Wal-Mart is likely to experience an increase in its retail after establishing and proving worthy. The organizations that were involved in cash and carry will start introducing online retail. It will make the organization come up with new products.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
