Sophomore year really put things in perspective for me and I quickly realized that I needed to focus on my GPA, educational development and the future of my career. Instead of providing reasons for my grades, and for blaming things on my constant struggle of moving from place to place, I decided to fight the challenge. I was a little worried that I may have already lost my chance at a good university, and it was too late. But, it never is too late, is it? Junior year, I decided to give it my all. So I worked extremely hard and tried my best to bring my GPA up. In just one year, I was able to raise my GPA by a whole number, and I am continuing to do so. I am still working toward improving my ability to learn and I won't stop trying my hardest.

I have learnt from my experience, that everything is in the state of the mind, and if the mind is set to succeed, then you will succeed, regardless of the circumstances around you. I believe that this journey has taught me so many life lessons, which will undoubtedly be my strongest suit. This experience has taught me that nothing is unachievable if you are willing to work hard. It has also taught me that once you determine what is important in life, and work towards a determined goal it is never too late to change and improve things. I do not let these obstacles and setbacks dictate my potential, but instead, I use them as a tool to evolve into the best version of myself.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
