Requesting Approval of AIT PreceptorEach preceptor must:have been licensed as an NHA in Delaware or other jurisdiction for the preceding two-year period.Arrange for each person seeking to become your preceptor to submit a letter to the Board requesting approval. The letter must:be on letterhead of the facility/organizationprovide the preceptor’s NHA license numberrequest approval to serve as preceptor for the AIT applicantspecify whether the preceptor will be serving as an Assisted Living ( AL) preceptor, Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) preceptor, or both.state in which facility the training will occuroutline the specific functions and responsibilities that you will perform.The New Hampshire Board does not credential preceptors in this state.A specific training program does not exist.Please see rules regardinbelow:Nuh 102.01"Administrator-In-Training (AIT)" means an individual who is in an internship, not to exceed 12 months, for the purpose of beiall areas of nursing home administration as outlined in the AIT internship evaluation checklist.Nuh 102.06"Preceptor" means a licensed nursing home administrator, in good standing, with a minimum of 5 years experience who supervadministrators in training.
