Vietinbank’s equity has reached 37 thousand billions VND in 2017 with the profit of 9,2 triliion dollar, also, ROE and ROA of Vietinbank reached 12% and 1% respectively ( Hanoitimes, 2018). During every organization’s operation, Human resource management (HRM) plays an important roles as it provides the human capital for the company. HRM phrase is used to describe both employees and employers within an organization ( Humanresourcesedu.n.d). HRM also define the development and management of employees with various function which will be analyzed in this paper. IV. Discussion of findings of HRM 1. HRM purposes As stated, HRM plays a strictly important roles in operation as it controls all human capital of an organization. Firstly, HRM takes human as assets, internal customers to provide job satisfaction to staffs for effectiveness and efficiency, HRM emphasizes the quantitative, calculative of managing human, manages communication, motivation and leadership inside the organization ( Lumen.n.d). HRM also improve the productivity of employees by researching the working process and providing suitable training programs timely ( Silva.n.d ). Human resource depaartment remains the culture awareness between employees as the working environment is broad and multi cultured. 2. HRM functions 2.1.1. Recruitment and selection a. Recruitment Recruiting process is the first step of human resource operation. In this process, the employer uses different methods to search for potential people and encourage them to apply for the position that is missing in the organization. During this process, the recruiter has to compose job description and job analysis for each position that he is looking for, then post the job advertisement on website or newspaper to attract applicants ( Cleverism.n.d). Basically, there are two types of recruitment which are internal and external recruitment. Internal recruitment means that the HR will use people who has already inside the organization to fill in a more necessary position, that employee may change the job or doing the “double-job” ( Newton.n.d). Business will use internal recruitment when they want to use the existing workforce to fill in the vacancy. Internal recruitment brings a lot of benefits to the recruiter as it helps to reduce time and cost. Setting up new job description, job analysis and recruit online is time consuming and costly. With internal recruiting method, the employer can save time and money as the human capital has already there so they just have revise the working report and performance to pick the most suitable one. People who are selected by internal recruiting method is familiar with the company’s work flow and how it operates so it takes the employee less time to fit in. By using this method, the business can
