Below is an example of a report of an online poll conducted by PBS around the time their American Experience episode on Jesse James aired in 2005. Using the guidelines above, state what the report does well and what it does badly. The report does a good job mentioning the year of the poll, the split of percentages, and the total number of participants. It does appear that the poll size was large enough that the margin of error is reasonably small. The report should have changed or done the following Split up the percentages into the groups of the 2,306 people who watched half the film and the remaining people who didn’t watch it.

They could have taken polls before and after to see how it affected their opinion. They could have been more specific about when the site launched and when the poll took place The percentages don’t even add up to 100% so they could have been more precise with their numbers They didn’t go through whether or not it passed the conditions
