These quizzes will allow you to earn extra credit toward your final grade and make up points lost on exams. The quizzes will usually be focused on material discussed during our prior meetings. 2) In order to encourage participation in club activities related to Financial Services, students who can prove their attendance/participation during the semester of at least 5 events organized by the Financial Management Association (FMA) will receive 1% on top of their final grade (company visits DO count toward the five events but social events DO NOT count toward bonus points). In order to verify the attendance/participation to the FMA’s events, a sign-up sheet will be provided at the beginning of such events. If a student cannot prove his/her participation in at least 5 events for the FMA, NO bonus points will be awarded. If a student attends less than 5 events NO bonus points will be granted. Of course, in order to attend the meetings each student must become a FMA member and pay the membership fees. Determination of Grades Your final grade for the course is based on the distribution below and follows a standard 100 percent scale. Percentage Grade 98% and above A+ 93% - 97% A 90% - 92% A- 88% - 89% B+ 83% - 87% B 80% - 82% B- 78% - 79% C+ 73% - 77% C 70% - 72% C- 60% - 69% D below 60% F Classroom protocol Students are not allowed to use cell phones during the class. All cell phones should be put in a silent mode and removed from desks. Students are not allowed to eat or sleep during the class Students that are late in class lose their opportunity to take the quiz and earn extra credit. Attendance is very important for a successful graduation and is strongly encouraged.
