When a law firm wants to reach new potential clients, the audience available is numerous. "50 million iPhones sold. 160,000 Android devices sold each day. Millions of BlackBerry, Palm and Windows phones dot the landscape. Everyone’s got iTunes on the computer. You can’t walk down the street without getting hit in the face by someone’s crappy earbuds. The audience is here. In fact, Tom Webster from Edison Research recently reported that 45% of all Americans are aware of podcasting, while 23% of Americans listen to podcasts – an increase from 11% in 2006. Americans have an average commute of 18-22 minutes each way. They’re hungry for audio content" (Fleischman, 2010). Some law firms are using podcasts to recruit law students, giving  them the ability to download and listen to perspectives from current associates and  partners on their experiences working at the firm (O'Keefe, 2006).
