report is then reviewed by another staff member to check the numbers are accurate. Only then is the quarterly report submitted to the NDC. A similar process is used to prepare the annual report. Although information technology (IT) is used to record the data and write the reports, the report-generating processes remain largely manual. Furthermore, the current system does not help the N3C Management Team identify the areas they need to focus on in order to improve their service for their customers. As a result, the N3C staff are concerned that these issues could increase the likelihood of discontinuation of the funding, and consequently the N3C project, from the Council. The most recent annual report from the N3C team has argued for extra funding so that they could invest in a computer system that would simplify data collection and analysis, and would facilitate easier, less time-consuming report generation. The NDC has agreed to this idea in principle, but have asked the N3C team to put together a business case in favour of this proposal. Suppose you are the only resident of Ngati with any project management experience. Tui has agreed to hire you as the project manager for this project, but only if it is approved by Council. In return, you have agreed to help them with their business case (for free – it is for a good cause!) After several meetings involving you and the N3C team, it is agreed that a (hopefully) cost-effective approach would be to create a database system, used to store the relevant data, along with a reporting system that would extract and organise the data into the required reporting format. It would also enable Tui to examine usage data across different time periods to get a better understanding of how, when, and by whom, the facility is used. Tui would be able to use this information to improve customer service. Further, automating much of the reporting work would enable the staff

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
