This also helps reduce counter productiveness. The store managers should be held accountable for meeting employee standards, company objectives, and building the business however applying motivation such as paid leave of a day out of the week off will enhance behaviors. Sometimes employees can become overwhelming due to work load and behavioral performance for them, but store managers also can be affected by a counterproductive workplace (Gruman & Saks, 2011). Other motivating factors like pay incentives including bonuses or merit increase, increase work efficiency in an overloaded store manager (Gruman & Saks, 2011). By allowing the manager more time away from work they maybe more inclined to perform more efficient when they are there. For example, promoting a 45-hour work week in 4 days versus 5 may allow the store manager more time to relax outside of work but still apply the same amount of time performing their duties during those 45 hours at work during the week. This will then help reinforce the positive behaviors and ultimately sustain the business. ConclusionA store managers job duties pertain to employee supervision, staffing, managing competencies, increasing productivity, etc. The list is extensive for what job duties are performedat this level therefore using multiple approaches for performance management are best.
