“So, how’s your book, ‘Starstruck Moment’, going? Does the mother and her daughter finally meet each other?” “I read it all yesterday. They meet each other. But the mother already married again with another old man and had one son. The three people look so happy contrast with the daughter, who is sacrificing her life to find her mom. Actually, the daughter had a good job and rich boyfriend, but her life is not happy since she is always missing her mom and thinking her life was abandoned by her mother. After totally realizing that she was erased from her mother’s life, the daughter just went on her own journey to find herself. The story is open ended but it makes me excited to know that the daughter could escape from her thought of mom. 2

“That’s an interesting story. But I think the daughter can’t make a hasty conclusion that her mother’s life had been happier than the daughter. Did it remind you of your mom a lot?” I don’t reply to him because once I start to talk about my mom, I miss her so much. “I know that you are not sleeping. I’m sorry that I talked about your mom. Your mom will watch you in the heaven. Good night sweetie.” In that night, it seems like father doesn’t sleep well as much as I do but suddenly I fall in sleep. Morning comes. I am little bit excited because I had a dream of my mom in the night. But I don’t reveal my happiness. He’s preparing to go to the book store and I am making the bed. Father said, “Do not come to the store after today.” “Why? Does the manager say to do it?” “Yes.” “What about the café? Can I go today?” “I’m afraid you can’t. I am unsure about the time when I will work there.” My father in this morning seems sensitive. I just give up going to the store and instead going to park today. I sit down on the bench in my favorite park, Christopher Park. There are lot of children with their parents and having a good time. Some of them are giving food to pigeons, finding four leaf clovers and innocently running and catching each other. ‘I actually should go to Washington Square Park, here makes me feel lonely...’ I stand up and walk to father’s book store. The Manger is in the front desk reading some old book. “Hi Rosa, what’s up? Does your father ask you to pick up something?” “What? Isn’t he here?” “No. He quit work last week and he will not come from today on. He didn’t tell me exactly but he said he’ll be moving.” 3

“That’s not true. He said he was going to work this morning.” “Maybe you guys had miscommunication. Go home and wait for your father.” I am embarrassed. ‘What’s going on? I believe, this is a dream.’ Unfortunately, I find that this is not a dream. I went to Washington Square Park, Christopher Park and Aids Memorial Park but I couldn’t find my father. I go to Christopher Park again because there is the place that me and father went a lot. But as night is coming, homeless peoples are coming so I just go back to my home.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
