Dysgraphia causes a person's writing to be distorted or incorrect. Some
individuals with Dysgraphia improve their writing ability, but for others, the
disorder persists. It is thought that more than 5% of the population has
Dysgraphia.
Some adaptations that are really helpful for students with dysgraphia at
school that can be helpful with speed writing can be giving
the students
extra time to take notes, copy materials and take tests, provide typed copies

of classroom notes, allow the students to record certain class sectioned or
use a laptop for writing, Allow to start writing projects and assignments
early, provide paper with name, date, title, etc. already filled. Some other
adaptations that are really helpful for students with amount writing can be
providing a lesson outline for taking notes, handout worksheets so there’s
less to copy from the board, and grade assignments based on what they
know and not on spelling or handwriting. Some other helpful things for
difficult assignments are giving examples of finished assignments, help
student break writing assignments into steps, let the student have a
proofreader to look for errors and help students learn how to use a rubric
and explain how each step is graded.
