the system from achieving higher retention rates leads to a vicious cycle of ineffective problem- solving activities. When looking at the impact of the doctoral student retention rates, studies tend of focus on the identification of the factor that causes it by digging more in-depth in the lives and statistics of those that have added to the attrition. However, there is lack of clarity as to the facts that have made doctoral students complete their programs and associate all of them together. All research denotes that doctoral student retention has created a substantial financial impact on both sides – student and institutions – causing a ripple effect across all educational levels [Car151]. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
