therefore the counselor must be sincerely willingly relating to their clients without hiding behind a professional face. Unconditional positive regard means that the counselor should accept the client for who they truly are without judging, interrupting, and disapproving of certain actions and feelings that the client may be feeling or experiencing. Rogers believes that the counselor should also be willing to listen to their client without giving personal advice. This technique shows that the counselor is listening to their client carefully and the opportunity for theclient to review his or her feelings/thoughts.
