ACCT 116  M ANAGERIAL  A CCOUNTING  F OUNDATIONS Attendance: Attendance and participation is required and necessary for your success in this course. Participation means coming to class on time, being prepared, asking and answering questions, and contributing to the class discussion or any group work. Class participation points can only be earned if you attend class for the whole period, participate in class and successfully complete any assigned problems. From time to time, I may call on students to contribute to the class to demonstrate your mastery and comprehension of the material. If you are absent more than two class periods for non-approved reasons, your grade will be reduced by 10-points per occurrence. Exams : There will be three exams (Exam 1, Midterm, Final Exam) consisting of multiple- choice questions and/or problems. The Midterm Exam is not cumulative but the Final Exam is cumulative by nature of the material. The exam dates are fixed commitments and are indicated on the course schedule. All exams are to be completed online with students being physically being present in class on the day of the exam. If you do not show up for an exam, you will receive a zero. There are no make-ups. There are practice quizzes available on bbvista and more on Connect (in the library section) for each chapter to help you prepare for the exams. Weekly Homework Assignments : The more you practice, the better you will do in this class! Weekly problems are assigned throughout the term to check your comprehension. The weekly assignments will show up on Blackboard in weekly folders. When you access the folder (e.g. “Week 1”) initially, it should take you to the Connect Registration site. It is imperative that you do this as soon as possible. If you have any issues, please contact McGraw-Hill Support at 1-800-331-5094 or www.mhhe.com/support . Weekly assignments could be in the form of homework problems, excel assignments, LearnSmart modules, interactive presentations, etc. You should complete the assignments before your next class by the due date indicated on Connect. Weekly practice problems are available to assist you in learning the material before you attempt the comprehensive assignments. Note that some of the homework problems are fairly comprehensive and should be attempted AFTER you have studied the material and attempted the practice problems.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
