Skimming pricing is applying in our Disney-Dazs Dessert Bowl. These is because the dessert bowl is a brand-new product in the ice-cream market. These make customers will not be so price-sensitive because there don’t have similar product compare to it. Next, Haagen-Dazs has a good reputation and famous with its texture and flavor. These make that although the price of Haagen-Dazs product is high but still can attract a lot of customer to buy it. Our product is considered as a high price product and we aim the customers r with high monthly income so that we will make sure the quality of the product will always meet the standard that already set. 4.3 Promotion Strategy An organization’s promotional strategy can consist of many things. Promotion is a term used frequently in marketing and is one of the market mix elements. It refers to raising customer awareness of a product or brand, generating sales, and creating brand loyalty. An effective promotional effort contains a clear message that is targeted to a certain audience and is done through appropriate channels. The target customers are people who will use, as well as influence or decide the purchase of the product. Identifying these people is an important part of your market research. The marketing image that you’re trying to project must match the advertisement’s message. It should catch your target customers’ attention and either convince them to buy or at least state their opinion about the product. The promotional method you choose in order to convey your message to the target customers may probably involve more than one marketing channels. 4.3.1 Advertising

Advertising is any paid from non-personal presentations of idea, goods, or services by an identified sponsor. It includes the use of traditional media such as magazines, newspaper or radio and TV signs and direct mail as well as internet. Advertisement is very important for the Haagen-Dazs in order to attract more customer into market. For our new product, we will advertise our new product through printing advertisement. Advertisement can be distributed via direct mail or printed materials which include newspapers and consumer magazines. Besides, we also publicize our new product through radio broadcasting and also through television advertising video. This type of advertisement will let people know that what, where, when and why they should buy our new product. 4.3.2 Sales Promotion This promotional strategy is done through special offers with a plan to attract people to buy the product. Sales promotions can include coupons, package sales, free samples, incentives, contests, prizes, loyalty program, and rebates. Sales promotion can usually be implemented quickly and get result sooner. For Disney-Dazs Dessert Bowl, we are using special day promotion to attract customer to buy our product.
