Major Risks One major risk with (BYOD) is liability and who is responsible for repair cost. How does the company know who is at fault if the device breaks. Was it being use for personal or work when the device failed? What happens if the device is stolen at work? Who would be responsible for replacement in this scenario?

Security is another risk involving (BYOD) and trying to manage that on personal devices can be difficult. So you would really be hoping and trusting that the employee’s using their device for personal use don’t pick up viruses. Example of BYOD Most hospital doctors have tablets that they use to access and document patient cases. They are now able to carry these around and print necessary information to the closes printer where patient records are hard copied. This allows the doctor to be able to get more work done and see multiple patients faster. My Considerations of BYOD After assessing the pros and cons of bringing your own devices my consideration to use it would be based on the company.
