N4585 CapstoneKey Point2Nursing research, the development of a PowerPoint presentation was first presented to us as students in the nursing research course. In creating evaluationmaterials for my presentation I wanted to reflect upon what the purpose of the presentation was. Every course we take at the hospital has a course evaluation we fill out at the end, they are boring and not specific to the material or content as they are generic and used by all classes. In using case study and more interactive teaching methods I am attempting to assess if the content as methods were applicable to the content of the research. Key Point3Holistic care of the older adult, while my research has greatly increased my personal knowledge of an older adults’ personal risk factors for falling while hospitalized, how to express these concepts to an audience who may be unfamiliar with the material without overwhelming the information and decreasing the efficacy of the content provided. Preventing falls is important beyond just Improving hospital numbers that are reported and publicly available,building a foundational understanding of risk factors that are specific to inpatient needs compared to risk factors that may never change, such as a patient’s past medical history.
