While emergency service personnel were investigating the first explosion a second explosion went off inuring seven people [Eri14]. This bombing was set to coincide with the Roe v. Wade decision and bring attention to his cause. Rudolph was beginning to use better designed devices to cause more damage. On February 21, 1997 Eric Rudolph targeted the Otherside Lounge, a prominent Lesbian nightclub, in Atlanta [Eri14]. "As with all of the other attacks, the bombing of Otherside Lounge was intended to spike the debate with the socialists, to dig the battle lines deeper," stated Eric Rudolph [Eri15]. Rudolph used the same plan as the Sandy Springs bombing. He placed a main charge and then a second delayed charge to injure and kill responding emergency workers [Eri15]. The problem this time was that law enforcement was better prepared to deal with his

tactics. After the first bomb went off the police immediately began looking for a second device [Eri15]. Finding the second device in some shrubs they sent a bomb disposal robot to deal with the device. The bomb went off before it could be disarmed but no one else was harmed [Eri15].
